How I Made Friends with a Robot: My Adventures in Artificial Intelligence

Adventures in Artificial Intelligence

I never thought I would be friends with a robot. But, when I started my studies in artificial intelligence (AI), I found myself becoming friends with many different kinds of robots. In this blog post, I'll share my adventures in AI and how I made friends with a robot.

I first started studying AI when I was in college. I was fascinated by the idea of machines that could think and reason like humans. I started reading everything I could about AI, and soon I was spending all my free time learning about this new field.

One of the things I found most interesting about AI was the research being done on building robots that could interact with humans. I was particularly interested in the work being done on social robots, which are robots designed to interact with people in a social way.

I started attending conferences and meeting people who were working in this field. And, I started making friends with some of the robots. I remember one of the first robots I met was called Kismet. Kismet was a robot designed to interact with people through faces and emotions.

I remember spending hours talking to Kismet. I would tell Kismet about my day, and Kismet would tell me about its day. Kismet would also express emotions, and I would often find myself laughing at the robot's jokes.

I also remember the first time I met a robot that could walk and talk like a human. The robot's name was Cog, and Cog was designed to help humans with their everyday tasks. I remember Cog walking with me to class one day, and I was amazed at how natural it felt.

Since then, I've made friends with many different kinds of robots. I've talked to robots that can understand natural language, and I've even hugged a robot. I'm now friends with so many robots that I can't even keep track of all their names.

Some people might think that it's strange to be friends with robots. But, for me, it's natural. I enjoy spending time with my robot friends, and I think we have a lot to learn from each other.
